    3. Hello Anna Marie, I know what you mean. I feel the same way. I often wonder, is there no one but me descended from my great grandfather Dr. John Fleming Rodgers from Kentucky? I know that two or three of his daughters by his first wife wound up in Texas, and I know where some other descendents are down here in Montgomery, Alabama from his daughter Emma (the Blackerbys) and son Lester (Rodgers) in Prattville, Al.. from his second marriage. But these around here either don't know a thing or could care less. The info I seek died when the elders died off, my grandparents and great aunt Emma. Emma's daughter knew, but by the time I tracked those Blackerby relatives down she was in a nursing home with like alzheimers or something and could remember nothing. Oh well, excuse me for ranting, but lordy it gets frustrating sometimes. I mean I know where he went to medical college at, where he was born, where he lived and died, his two wives and their kids, where some of my grandfather's cousins lived around 1910-30 (Midway, Woodford Co. Ky), even what unit he served during the War for Southern Independence. but can't seem to be able to find out who his parents were or about his Rodgers line or where they were from. It is indeed frustrating. Take care, David Edelen
