Nick may I ask what you have on your James Rodgers of Augusta Co., his wife and children, etc. I have a John Rodgers born abt. 1750, not sure yet of his parents, and he had a son named James, who had at least one wife named Rachel, he may have been married more than that, I don't know, but he had son Cyrus, and Rachel was named as his mother on Cyrus' marriage license. Would love to hear from anyone connected with this line. Especially anyone who knows who John was married to, and his parents and siblings. John died in 1798 Greenbrier Co., Va. and left a will, he is not the John Rodgers who married Ann McSwain Clendenin though, but they may have been cousins, but if someone who knows who the parents were of that John Rodgers I would be interested to know that too. They were at one time in Augusta County, Virginia. What line are you researching? Nick M. Gombash Chocybrown@aol.com wrote: Lynn, What are the names of the children of your James Rodgers? I am not researching North Carolina Rodgers; however, I am following a James Rodgers from Virginia who had a son James Rodgers who could have been born in the 1770's. I don't know what became of him and he most likely is not connected to your James since James is such a common name in the Rodgers line; but I would be interested in the names of the children. Hi Janet, My James Rodgers was born after 1766 and was the son of James Rodgers, born sometime before 1745. The James that was born before 1745 was listed as "James Rodgers, Junior" in his will. So my James that was born after 1766 would actually be James the 3rd. The James born before 1745 was married to a Margaret in Augusta Co, VA on May 21, 1766. They later migrated and ended up in Greene County, Tennessee. Sorry if that got confusing! ;-) Nick --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!? Friends. Fun. Try the all-new Yahoo! Messenger
