He was born 7 Dec 1854, died 11 Jan 1928. He married Sarah Estelle DeMarcus 10 Sep 1885. Lived his adult life in Cabarrus County, NC and is buried in Bethpage Cemetary - Kannapolis. Possibly son of James Rodgers and Elizabeth Stirewalt who married in 1846 in Rowan County, NC. Silas also may have been married to Emma L. Catherine Rodgers, daughter of Frank and Martha born 6 Dec 1859, died 30 Mar 1880. I know the Rodgers name is very prominent in early Cabarrus County history but can't seem to tie all this in. Any help much appreciated.
