As if we didn't have enough, here yet another John ROGERS associated with the Cherokees. At the Georgia State Historical Site at New Echota, some of the sites and buildings of this the last Cherokee National Capitol are rebuilt/located., etc. One building is a typical poor farmer's one room log house and some outbuildings located on a large city lot. This house belonged, in 1834, to John ROGERS, about whom absolutely nothing else is known, at least according to the park guides. They have some info on Tsan Usdli (Little John) and Nolichuckee Jack and Capt. Hell-Fire Jack all John Rogers, but nothing on this guy except a land title ascribing ownership to this man. They call him "Poor John" (It ain't a very presumptuous place) Anybody know anything about this "Poor John" ROGERS? Bugs ==== ROGERS Mailing List ==== Unsubscribe?
