Hi. I'm brand new to this list as of yesterday. The farthest I can trace the Rogers/Rodgers line in my family is to Dover Township, Ocean County, NJ in 1850 (census). I've never been able to discover the "fathers" name. The mothers first name was Asenath B. Rogers (married name). Asenath is buried in the Good Luck Cemetary, Lanoka Harbor, Ocean Co., NJ (b. 1704 - d. 1870). The family is supposed to have been "Sea Captains". The children are :John W (boatman), Jesu (spelling??), Forman (farmer than sea captain), Rebecca, Ann, Althea, Elvira (my gggrandmother) and Asenath O. Is anyone else researching this line or can give me a few suggestions??
