Bobby, You may be closer to an answer to some of your questions than you imagined. William Robert Rogers is a name that is in the family from just after the Civil War. All references to the name I have seen refer to him as "Bob." The family moved to Sweetwater, TX in the late 1800's (I'm sorry I don't have the exact dates handy.). My guess is your father (and you) were named for a grandfather or uncle. I don't have a lot of material on the cousins from that era (early 1900's to today except for the closer relatives). There are a couple other researchers that may be able to help you. In the meantime, look for census records in Sweetwater, Nolan Co., TX and maybe Wingate, Runnels Co., TX.
