Surnames: Rodgers,Rogers Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/hgDBAIB/1605.1.5.1.1 Message Board Post: I would suppose it could be possible. About that time I found changes in Rogers to Rodgers, Reed to Reid, Pearson to Pierson, Hagan to Hagen,Haggen, and one to Aggen. It has gotten so that after I do a search for the known spelling I do a soundex search for other spellings. Especially if I didn't find them where I expected them to be. Would that be Thompson Rodgers born 1810 in Shelby Co, Ky to Travis Rodgers and Elizabeth Childers? I believe he died in Mo about 1870. I don't have any information on who he married and who his children were. I would love to have them. Travis's parents came to Kentucky as Rogers, but I know my line changed to Rodgers in the census of 1810. and seemed to stay that way for several of many of his descendents. Not all though.
