    2. Bobby Watson
    3. Thank you to all of you that have responded to me so far. I appreciate it. Some of your suggestions, I have already considered. And, a couple, I hadn't. For the questions: My father's name was "William Robert Rogers". according to my birth certificate, he was 21 when I was born. Which would have made his birth date approx. 1927-28, According to the available Texas Birth records online, which go back to 1926, he isn't there. And, the available divorce records only go back to 1966. And, they would have been divorced in 1951-52. Funny thing is, from what I understand, my Mother and her Mother-in-Law, were both pregnant at the same time and it was a race to see who would give birth first. And, from what I understand, I actually was in school in Big Spring with an Uncle that was the same age as me. But, they would never let anyone approach or tell us anything. Sure isn't funny now. I'm actually the oldest living member of the family I know about. I am in Kerrville, TX now, and make regular trips to Big Spring because of my job. So, I guess I'll try to do some digging there the next time. Thanks again, [email protected] [email protected] http://www.ktc.com/personal/aasgeier/main ==== ROGERS Mailing List ==== Unsubscribe? 1. [RODGERS] RE: [Rogers] I haven't a clue...
    2. Bobby, You may be closer to an answer to some of your questions than you imagined. William Robert Rogers is a name that is in the family from just after the Civil War. All references to the name I have seen refer to him as "Bob." The family moved to Sweetwater, TX in the late 1800's (I'm sorry I don't have the exact dates handy.). My guess is your father (and you) were named for a grandfather or uncle. I don't have a lot of material on the cousins from that era (early 1900's to today except for the closer relatives). There are a couple other researchers that may be able to help you. In the meantime, look for census records in Sweetwater, Nolan Co., TX and maybe Wingate, Runnels Co., TX. I bet you find a link to us in short order. Good luck and let me know if I can be of any further help. 1. [RODGERS] [ROGERS] The Rogers Family Tree
    2. I thought I'd post the family that Blanche Rodgers has been researching. Blanche has written two books named "The Rogers/Rodgers Family Tree". The problem I'm having is that I want to copy the list I have on the Personal Ancestral File and put it in an e-mail. I have a total of 54 pages of names - 2967 people total so far. About 85% of this list is on the Shadrach and Hopey Rogers families. Does anyone know how I can copy this list to Word or some document format so I can list these families or am I asking an impossible question. I can print the list then scan the pages but I'd rather not spend the time scanning. Any suggestions or is there anyone interested in seeing the list I have? Since Blanche's books are typed and hard copy only I've asked her to allow me to enter the information into a database (Personal Ancestral File) and she's given me that permission. In return I send her everything I get about the Roger/Rodgers family. Obviously I'm not out to make a buck or I wouldn't want to share this list. I want to try to connect our Shadrach Rogers and Hope/Hopey (Was Hopey a Bethea, Manning, or of some other family origin?) with their parents/siblings. We have suspicions of who they might be but no proof. I think they were both born in Alabama-were in Red River County late 1800's.They had a numer of children - Jane Elizabeth Rodgers who is my great grand mother - married Marion Warner Gossett, also have no knowldge of what happened to him. I have Rogers in Tn, one being Elizabeth Rogers who married John L. Terrell - also way back there. They had Eizabeth Terrell who married Henry w. Chester and had Solomon J.
