    3. Very true Dot = And a very good statement . Those who have the idea they have nothing to offer should just offer any thing , never know who's puzzle you might be a piece of. I found a ggrand dau of my great uncle on my paternal side , and found out she lived next door to my aunt for 25 years , they never knew they was related till I told them and it was to late , my Aunt fell and broke her pelvis and died soon after . Just goes to show you never should wait to make contact or share , its a small world we live in. I was talking to one of my elders who do not have a computer a few days ago and we were talking about Elizabeth Cole wife of Henry b in Eugene , turns out Elizabeth was the dau of Queen Whilhelmina of Holland , married once before. So conversation is very important to genealogy , even on the list. You never know who is here you might be related to useless you offer little tid bits <G>feel free to do this as you wish . I was cleaning out some paper files today and ran across a mail to this list from Oct 1997 wherein a deed from James and Rachel Rodgers in Greenbrier WV (then VA) is mentioned. A little digging and I think these to be "my" James and Rachel from he recorded will in Franklin Co TN of 8/8/1808. I repeat this msg in its entirety in hope of jogging somebody about this brickwall: It is to the list from [email protected] with cc to [email protected] and [email protected]: Subj : Chesley ROGERS Pat: I've had your letter to Bill Rogers sitting for a while. It was about Chestly Rodgers and the info you got from AOL. 3. NO one should ever feel stupid - we all had a beginning and new nothing at that point , as we expanded some learned things that others did not, but as even in those others that think they might be (quote)stupid(end quote) well guess again , we can even learn from you in the things you learn from the way you went , so we can all share ; no matter what we know, we will even learn more as we go. I can also help with computer problems and Internet Explore and Outlook Express problems . So others can benefit from Q&A it could be answered as a (Computer) subject line so every one will know they do not have to open it unless they want to. I save every message to the list in a single message format so I always have copies, I never delete them. I never feel any one is stupid, we just never all learn the same exact things , there are some subjects I ask a lot of questions in too, then I pass that knowledge on to those others who ask l;-) Dan ----- Original Message ----- From: Judy Rogers <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, June 16, 2000 1:57 PM Subject: Re: [ROGERS] Dwn. 2 business > Okay, in the case of a new list owner I want to welcome you, Dan and it > looks as if you have some great ideas. 3. I took the lists over , since I care a lot about how a list is run I think we can all have a great time turning our genealogy work in to fun. I am a 55 year old Mr Mom so I am here all most all day , every day and I like my genealogy . My first task is find out how many people believe in helping others helps your self ? ( We all ) want to ; on this list and as any other is to sort Genealogy and History to match our needs , our goals are all to add as much history and names to ouf family past as we can . In order to do this we must help each other . Some who live in Oregon might need lookups in VA and visa versa, this makes a list into a team work effort and we can only gain information by doing this. There are a lot of people on these 3 lists and I think we could really scour the contry fast if we can go out of the house and to places like LDS , courthouses, county seats and look in the records to help others back and forth across the USA . I can do some in this area Salem,Oregon about a 50 mile circle any one else want to dedicate their search help area ?
