Maybe I don't understand what you are trying to do -- but when I go to http://www.rootsweb.com/, I get two search boxes just below the menu bar -- One says Search Rootsweb.com and the other says Search Ancestry.com. When I put in a search for William Hewlett in the Rootsweb.com box, I get a completely different result than what I do when I do the same in the Ancestry.com box. I am also subscribed to Ancestry,com and can get into any of the data bases I have subscribed for. turned out it was another site with a URL very close to Rootsweb's so DON'T leave the "s" out of Rootsweb when you type it in that thing which comes up if you do, will try to take over your computer curses on those who put it up C
