I have checked *after* executing the magnifier and when it appears in the tray (bottom right of the monitor near the time), if I right click there then the option is given to add taskbar icon automatically at Windows startup. If you click on that option, a checkmark will appear. That should bring the magnifying glass icon into your taskbar the next time you restart.
