Diane=Thank you for the census search. With the help of a couple of friends, we were able to decipher a few more of the notes written in the Bible. "Edwina Greenhalgh born March 2 about half past 9 in the morning in the year 1826 Jhon (john?) Edward Greenhalgh Farrer born October 4 at 9 o'clock in the evening in the year 1846 Martha Anne Farrer....(the remainder illegible) The above Martha Anne died July 27th, 1856. Interment at the burial ground at West Davenport (I think this is in England) Edwin Greenhalgh Farrer born at East Davenport August 4th 1859 at 25 minutes to 10 oclock Edwina Farrer died at Henderson (?), North Carolina, March 30,1874, age 48 years and 25 days" I bought the Bible in the West Palm Beach area. Sadly there are many elderly folks living here in hotels, trailor parks, etc., wh have no immediate family near and when they pass on their personal effects are disposed of by landlords or whatever.
