To Harvey Clark Justice of the Peace for the County of Franklin comes Daniel Burleson and George Jewett both of Berkshire in said county and complains and informs said justice that on or about the 23rd day of October 1827 at Berkshire aforesaid lost 80 or 90 lb Honey in the comb from a large Maple tree in the woods marked D. B. said Honey being the property of the said Daniel Burleson and George Jewett and the value of seven dollars was by some person or persons unknown with force & arms feloniously taken, stolen and carried away from said tree in the woods and the said Daniel Burleson and George Jewett hath good reason to suspect and doth suspect that said Honey or part thereof is concealed in the dwelling house or out house of Alva Rublee & Beldon Rublee in Berkshire in the county of Franklin aforesaid whereupon the said Daniel Burleson & George Jewett pray that a warrant may issue to search for said Honey in the Dwelling house, barns and outhouses of the said Alva Rublee and Beldon Rublee aforesaid if the same be found upon the said search that the said Alva Rublee and Beldon Rublee be apprehended and dealt with as the Law directs.
