    2. Phil Roblee has asked me to provide my mailing address for financial contributions for the Roblee researchers web site (www.robleesonline.org). I am, of course, grateful for any financial support to help maintain the web site. At the same time, I am equally touched by the kind words offered by those unable to help in any other way but to say thanks. My address is listed in the signature line below. Just a few comments, at Phil's request, about the maintenance of the web site, and our related activities. The mailing list is maintained (without expense except a modest amount of time) at Rootsweb.com. As the list moderator, I just have to make sure people have no problem subscribing and unsubscribing to the list (either Roblee-L for individual messages or to Roblee-D for the digest mode). The web site has two financial components. The first is the annual expense to maintain the registration of our domain Robleesonline.org. The second is the hosting fee for the website. To reduce this expense, I pay for this on an annual basis rather than pay a monthly hosting fee. This year we moved the hosting to another ISP, and this move, I believe, will position us well to hold the line on our web site expenses. The new hosting service is one of the nation's largest, and most reliable, according to internet surveys. I have been quite happy to have so little problems moving the web site to the new ISP from the old one (the old domain and site is no longer on the web). Maintaining the site involves updating the files on my PC using Microsoft Front Page, then publishing these pages to the web site. The fee we are charged covers all the bandwidth traffic involved in modest family history site (I monitor the bandwidth use to make sure we are not exceeding the site limits). Phil's generous annual pledge and those of others, no matter how small, has been very helpful in maintaining our site. These contributions, made in November of each year, put us in the position to pay our renewal fees on a timely basis without interruption in our web site. Next year, given the capabilities of the new hosting service, I hope to make the site even more useful. ************* Doug Detling 725 Royal Ave., Apt. 81 Medford, OR 97504-6449 Please change your address book to list me as: doug.detling@greencity.org
