Mahoney, 94, of 79 Pearl St., formerly of 111 Cherry St., died at 6:34 a.m. Wednesday (July 13, 2005) in her home. She was born Oct. 11, 1910, in Frewsburg, the daughter of Oscar and Anna Bjork Anderson. She was a graduate of Jamestown Business College and the John Hopkins University School of Nursing in Baltimore. Prior to her retirement in 1973, she had been employed as a school nurse by the Robert H. Jackson Elementary School in Frewsburg. In earlier years, she had been employed by WCA Hospital. She was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church and the Frewsburg Study Club. She is survived by two sons: R. John Mahoney Jr. of Pinedale, Wyo., and R. Thomas Mahoney of Frewsburg; two daughters: Paula C. Johnson and Ann Margaret Rublee, both of Frewsburg; six grandchildren: six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Alice Dickinson of Gasport, N.Y. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger J. Mahoney Sr., whom she married April 6, 1942, and who died June 23, 1993. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Frewsburg, NY.
