This obit was in this week's Arcade Herald...Phil Roblee. ________________________________________________ Phyllis Mae Brueser of Eagle Street in Sandusky, died Friday, February 25, 2005 at Bertrand Chaffee Hospital in Springville. She was 72. Born May 9, 1932, she was a daughter of Daniel and Mary (Powell) Roblee of Arcade. She married Jack Brueser on January 12, 1952 in Sardinia. Mr. Brueser died March 1, 1987. Mrs. Brueser was a member of the Centerville United Methodist Church, and participated in the senior citizens clubs in Freedom, Delevan and Arcade. She particularly enjoyed having lunch with her friends at the meal sites sponsored by the Wyoming County Office of the Aging, and playing bingo. She worked at Motorola in Arcade and at Merrill's General Store in Sandusky. Mrs. Brueser is survived by three children: Jacquelyn (Murry) Dimon of West Seneca, Gary (Sue) Brueser of Perry and Cheryl (Dennis) Anderson of Bliss; a sister, Thelma Smart of Batavia; five grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by six brothers: Nelson, Wayne, Leonard, Robert, Bernard and Donald Roblee; and two sisters: Ester Roblee and Ida June Bleistien. Funeral services were held Sunday, February 27 at 3:00 p.m. at the W.S. Davis Funeral Home Inc. in Arcade, with the Rev. Brad Chesebro officiating. Burial will be in Sandusky Cemetery, Sandusky. Memorials may be made to the Arcade Fire Department, or the Wyoming County Office for the Aging, 5362 Mungers Mill Rd., Silver Springs NY 14550 (please specify for the meal site programs).
