Good Morning, All, The 3rd Robblee [All name variants] Reunion took place at the Afton Community Centre on Prince Edward Island and was hosted by Jean [Robblee] Beer and her sisters, Mary [Robblee] Hunter, and Ruth [Robblee] Connors. After Friday afternoon registrations, various family members re-greeted and introduced themselves. Supper was provided for all present and conversations carried on into the evening. On Saturday, we gathered at noon at the hall for lunch. And were joined by additional family members from Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. In my case, genealogy consumed most of my time while most others got re-acquainted and the kids had games and internet access. As to the question of how the name had gone through various spelling changes for which there is really no answer, we settled on the above title for the day. A grandaughter of Loring Joseph Robblee attended from the Boston area and extended our knowledge of that branch of the family. As well, 5 ggrandaughters of my ggrandfather's first family attended, extending my knowledge of that group. Also, from the Boston area, Bob Whitmarsh, a PEI Robblee descendent, and his wife were in attendance. Saturday evening saw 65 served for supper and was followed by entertainment from a local blue grass group. Sunday, some of the group met for lunch at the home of Harry Robblee of Tryon, PEI. All in all, a good time. Also, the site and time of the next reunion was decided upon. It will be held in the West this time, 3 years hence. And since Becki and I offered to host the event; in the vicinity of my home west of Innisfail, Alberta, Canada. Details, of course, will follow at the appropriate times leading up to the summer of 2008. Seeing as the "World Famous" Calgary Stampede runs the first 2 weekends in July, we will probably hold the reuinon during the second weekend of July that year.
