    3. Hi Bob, Thanks, again, so much... definitely appreciated. > I believe that I can help you with information on Jane Penman, b > 1783 - 28 Nov 1864, in Charlottetown, married Joseph Robblee, who died in > 1828 in Tryon, PEI. > Thomas Gamble was a witness to part of Joseph Robblee's will and > the PEI marriage records show her marrying him 13 Jan 1830. > I was wondering if you would be able to send the source and ref. numbers for Thomas Gamble & Jane Robblee's marriage record, as well as Joseph Robblee's Will. Hutchinson's Directory of 1861 lists Thomas Gamble, Cloth Dresser, > aged 21-45, in Charlottetown living with a woman 60+. My thoughts would be > Jane, now a widow, and a son > by the same name as her second husband. > This is interesting because my descendant was Thomas Gamble born ca 1815 who was the son/o the Thomas Gamble who married (2) Jane Robblee. He was married and had moved to New Brunswick by the 1850s. I'll check with another Gamble researcher about this because I am showing I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other Rob[b]lee > connections. > I only have a few Robblees and they are the children of Jane Penman & Joseph Robblee - and some married into the Clark & Crew line which also married into the Gamble line: [this is not my research] i Martha Robblee b ;d. 1834 Tryon, PEI; m. Nathaniel Clark ii John Robblee m. Harriet Nelder iii Thomas Robblee b 1802; d. 24 Dec 1852; m. 18 Sep 1833 Sarah Kathleen Hall (1813-1851) Jane Penman Robblee (1839-1906) m.Charles Wesley Clark (ca 1837-1916) W. Reuben Robblee (1835- ) m. Mary Jane Crew (1850- ) I have not as yet validated any of the above records so I don't know how accurate they are. I would just like to know for my own records the children for Jane & Joseph Robblee - so if you would happen to have that information, this would be great. Both families seem to have lived opposite each other in PEI and NB. > > My Thomas Gamble ca 1815, who was the son of Thomas Gamble above, married > Catherine Quigley, and moved to Westmorland County, NB, and finally settled > in Dundas Parish, Kent, NB. > And then there's Joshua Gamble (appears on 1841 PEI Census) who also moved up to Kent County, NB. Actually, there were a number of PEI families who had moved to the same county and I've always been curious as to why. Love to hear what you have on any of them. > Shirley
