    3. Good Morning, All, I have been going over the comments from 2 weeks ago to the list. It appears to me that John B. Richards b 1828 would have been their son. I would suspect that John and Phebe lived together prior to marrying. Are they recorded in the 1830 Census? Did Nathaniel have a daughter Phebe? d young? If so, she does not fit the census record. Would the Phebe, dismissed in New Haven to Bristol, in 1828, been pregnant? Which of the sons of Reuben and Phebe passed through or stayed in the New Haven area of VT after 1810? Just some questions rattling in my mind. HOpe to hear from you soon. Bob

    3. Okay -- I have lost the thread on John B. Richards b. 1828. Has we mentioned this individual recently? Anyhow, John Richard who married Phebe Roblee lived in Johnsburg in 1850. He was already married to "Dademy". Hugh, age 10 and William, age 8 lived with them. Re: Nathaniel. He may have had daughters unaccounted for. In 1820, a Nathaniel Roblee household is listed in Granville. The household comprised: 2 males under 10; 2 males over 45 1 female under 10 1 female 10-15 1 female over 45. Note the two males over 45. Some of these children could have belonged to the second male. Regarding the dismissal of Phebe - a dismissal was not necessarily a perjorative thing. Often, the parishioner was just moving -- and was dismissed with a letter of recommendation. The date of dismissal merely tells you that they likely moved out of town. And lastly, regarding Reuben's children -- Nathaniel appears to have appeared briefly in New Haven. On 15 Oct 1792, a Nathaniel Robblee bought land in New Haven, VT from Uriah Hoyt (New Haven Town Records). In 1793, a Nathaniel Robblee married Phebe Rockwell in Lanesborough, MA (Lanesborough Town Records). In 1804, a Nathaniel Robble registered his earmark in Granville, NY (Foley, 1993, p. 191). Philip settled in Monkton, adjacent to New Haven, by 1808.
