I think that you are correct and Lucy Stebbins is the first wife of Joshua Daniels and mother of David S. Daniels. David named the first of the two daughters I have identified "Lucy." Lucy's father was David Stebbins. (Could Stebbins be our David S.'s middle name?). Dates match well, although I show David's birth as 15 Jan 1794 and Joshua Daniels and Lucy Stebbins didn't marry until 25 Oct 1793.
