Have you tried to communicate with the Johnsburg N.Y. Historian Doris Patton? You Can reach her through the Town Office at Johnsburgh where they would have records on Everts and I believe that many of them came from VT or Hartford area earlier. Hope this helps.. He married Dorothy Jane Evarts b. 14 Oct.1903 in Palmyra,NY. d. 17 Jan.1995 in Sarasota,FL. I do not know who her parents are, but the notes I have say they were of Vermont. Can anyone help me out here? These are the only Evarts I find buried in Wayne Co, NY.Lyon's Cemetery. James B. Evarts b.1815 d.16 Jun 1890 75 yrs. Barbara b. 1792 d. 1857 65 yrs. wife. Catherine b. 1819 d. 9 May 1883 64 yrs. Sister of James. Eliza A. b. 1817 d. 27 July 1899 82 yrs. Jacob E. b. 1824 d. 5 Feb. 1893 69 yrs. Thomas M. b. 1792 d. 1848 56 yrs.
