Hello All, The notes about Reuben Roblee, d 1861 in Vt. are of interest. About 1850, the son of Reuben Roblee and Mary Evarts, Norman returned to Granville to build a Stone house. Prior to that, I believe he had been in the Kendall, NY area. And we have fairly specific times as to where he lived thereafter. Did he take over the family farm? His father would have been in his mid-seventies? at this time. Land records will tell us more about this and we may have better information as to why Reuben was in Vt. and his wife, Mary was in WI. Or is there another Reuben whose lineage we are unaware? We still have to establish the family of Thomas Roblee, Jr. If Norman took over the family farm under fiscal uncertainty, there could have been a family split at this time. Did the Reuben Rublee, d 1861, VT. leave a will? Perhaps he had nothing to pass down, but having a date of death should make it fairly easy to find, if there is one. Did Mary Roblee, d 1864? WI. leave a will? Land records should establish who owned what and where and when. And the proximity of various parties to each other. Just my thoughts for a Saturday AM. HOpe to hear from you soon.
