Frank, You have been my love, my life, and my partner for so many years and you have made me truly happy. In my heart you will always be with me and I will never forget the feeling of your hand holding mine. Our love was truly a blessing, and it made me complete. We had a good family life because of our hard work and our faith. It was God?s will for us to be together, just as it?s God?s will for you to be with him. I love you, Honey. Dear Father: You have given us so many happy memories that we will cherish. We?ll always have a smile on our face when we are reminded of you and your ?words of wisdom? (Yea, right!!!) You?ve taught us that true happiness is as simple as holding hands with someone you love. And when you are in love, nothing else really matters. You were strict with us as children, but as adults we became best friends. Your rules became our values (honesty, thankfulness, compassion, helpfulness and trust) and you influenced our lives. For that, we will always be grateful to you, and consider it an honor to be called your children. We love you and miss you, Dad.

She was living with brother A. A. Rublee in Abbotsford, QC, age 43. Their surname is indexed as Rubetier, but appears to read Rubelier to me! Wahoo! I hadn't been able to find a sign of her except in Charlie Rublee's manuscript! Cindy Walcott

The ROBLEE mailing list has successfully migrated at Rootsweb. I have checked, and everyone subscribed to the list is showing in the list of subscribers. I'm basically sending this message to make sure that messages are delivered. If it shows up on a digest, everything is working ok unless I get a bounced message. If you wish to confim that you are getting mail, you may reply to the list, or to me personally at doug.detling@greencity.org. The official way to address the list is ROBLEE@rootsweb.com. The -L appended to the list name is no longer necessary. Message subject lines will show [ROBLEE] so you may filter or sort your e-mail. To subscribe to the digest version of the list, send an e-mail to ROBLEE-D-request@rootsweb.com, but you have to unsub your old address first. Let me know if you have any problems or questions with the new list software. -- Doug Detling ROBLEE List Administrator
According to the list migration schedule at Rootsweb, the Roblee list will now be moved on Thursday, September 7. So in the meantime, expect messages to be delivered in the same fashion as they have been. If there is any change, I will advise. -- Doug Detling Roblee List Administrator
List member Ed Robblee sends along two black-and-white photographs taken in 1947. He noted: "I have had no contact with the Amesbury, Mass branch since these pictures were taken. I think Carl Robblee was my Dad's 1st cousin." The two pictures were scanned, and appear on a new page on the Robleesonline.org web site. Look for the page 1947_Photo_Query.html. Ed has provided detailed caption information. If you can identify any in the photo, please advise Ed by e-mail (address on web site) or post to the list. If any list members have similar queries, please contact me and I can arrange to post them on similar pages. Doug Detling Roblee List Administrator
Sorry, I hadn't read Cindy's very informative e-mail when I sent my message. That will teach me to read everything before I send. If anyone wants some specific information from me, please ask, but I think Cindy and others have it pretty well covered. Hope this finds all my Roblee cousins in good health and that all have had a pleasant summer. JEAN THOMAS BAKER

I have a copy of the Waldron Book with lineage and interesting info. Carol gave it to me. I think she was so interested in the WALDRON family because she thought her adoptive father, Ken Waldron, might be her "real" father. Not long before she passed away, she had received some information that would negate this. I felt kind of sorry for her as she would have liked Ken for her biological Dad. She was taken in by her adoptive Uncle, Ivon Waldron, at 9 years old , as Ken died and her adoptive Mom, Martha Oathout Waldron, was a stroke victim. Carol was the true genealogist here, but I will help as much as I can. I also have quite a bit on the Brodt and Quackenbush families, thanks to Carol. However, I am lazy and have not entered them into my Family Tree Maker yet...so many children. I do have them all written down in my notebooks. JEAN THOMAS BAKER, daughter of Ruth ROBLEE THOMAS

Thank you Cindy and Phyliss! I'm still sorting out the info provided but was wondering about Harlem County and the spelling on Straight/Streight. I spent a bit of time going through my History of Harlem by Riker...and I won't even pretend that I've read it all...when much to my delight you two had handled those questions already. It's great to have your help. I also see now that I'll have to check and see if Judah/Judith Bradt is related to the Bradts' in Doug's lineage. First I'd best try to get my Roblees' in order! Thanks to all, K.
