My gggrandfather was William Robinson b. abt 1775 England married Matilda Susannah Orman b. abt 1778 England.Matilda d. bet. 1818 and Jun 1820. Their first son William was b. England abt. 1799. William Sr. was an Asst. Commissary at Fort William Henry and later Overseer of Cascade Lockes near Vaudreuil. They had 8 children: William Jr. b. abt 1799 England. Married Sophia Lemaire St. Germain 1822. Listed in 1851 Census Glengarry, Lancaster, Ontario. They had three children: Charles Jacques, Aurelie and Ann. George b.May 7, 1804 Sorel, Richelieu, Quebec. Unknown who he married. Caroline b. 1806 Sorel. Married Edward Simon Johnson Mar 24, 1830. Buried Glengarry, Lancaster, Ontario June 23, 1888. Have more info on Johnson line. Francis b. Jan 5, 1809 Sorel. Married Margaret McCarron in PA. Cabinetmaker and Farmer in Circleville, Pickaway County, Ohio in 1840, 1850, 1860 census. Isaac Henry b. Aug 12, 1811 in Sorel. Married Harriet ?. Gunsmith in Sandusky,Erie,Ohio. Matilda Susan b. Dec 23, 1813 in Sorel. Married William Louis Villiers Johnson (brother of Edward Simon Johnson) Jun 20, 1832. James R. (my ggrandfather) b. Jan 27,1816 Sorel, Richelieu, Quebec. Married Mary Ann Hungerford Le Ray, Jefferson, New York Nov 28, 1840. Lived in Douglas, Union, Iowa and Harvard City, Clay, Nebraska. Died at daughter, Amelia Lydia Buxton's home in Douglas, Union, Iowa Aug 22, 1903. Loring b. 1818 Vaudreuil. No other information about him.
