My line begins with Rebecca Robinson b. ca 1795 who married John Newton Wolf in Harrison County, Ky in 1813. When I found her death record on Ancestry it showed her with a Father Benjamin and Mother M. Robinson. I have found many trees of the Francis Robinson b. 1765 married to Mary Emily Ann Terrell in Orange Co., Va. and I know this line is well documented. I have a copy of Francis's will dated 1840. This is where I have a problem. When I took a closer look at the copy of Rebecca's death Record (recorded as Rebeca Wolf died 1859, I found a Frances Thompson located right above Rebecca's record and also dying in 1859. When I check every person on the death record and followed their information listed on the record across the page, the line became distorted and it looks like the father of Rebecca should have been Francis and M. and Frances Thompson's father should be Benjamin. I know that Frances and Mary Terrell show a Frances Thompson who married Thomas T. Thompson! and came with the Robinson family to Harrison Co. Ky, but is that enough proof that she was the daughter of Frances and Mary? This benjamin Robinson listed as a father to Frances had a wife with the initials of M. The recorder of this death record made some mistakes, but with this additional info, I would like someone input. Who is this Benjamin Robinson and M. Robinson? I know Frances and Mary had a son Benjamin b. 1798-1874. When you get back to the Father of Francis, which many trees show William b. 1709 and beyond, I am sure there are many Benjamins that could fit for Rebecca or Francis father. There were Benjamins in Harrison County as early as 1810. On the 1800 Harrison census I show 2 males under b. 1800-1810, 2 males b 1785-1794, 1 male 1766-1784, 2 females 1800-1810, 2 females 1785-1794 and 1 female 1865 or older. I am wondering who this Benjamin could be. I have seen a Benjamin b. 1752 Spotsylvania Va and dying in 1825 who may be a brothe to Francis b. 1765, married to Catherine Parker. Does anyone have any more info that could help in solving my dilema? Thanks for any help. Paula Wright Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
