I have not posted in some time, but I am still looking for a family for my 2G-grandmother. She was born March 23, 1835. All census records indicate that she was born in Mississippi. Both parents were born in North Carolina. They apparently migrated to Mississippi at an early date in the westward movement. She is first found living in Pickens County, Alabama in 1860. She is already married to my 2G-grandfather and they have three small children. Based on their ages, I am guessing that the marriage was about 1853. A marriage record has not been located in either MS or AL. I have found three young women named Elizabeth Robinson in the correct age range (in 1850), but deeper research has ruled them out. Does anyone have a Robinson line that includes a daughter named Elizabeth (Lizzie) in Mississippi or Alabama 1835 - 1850? Suggestions?
