Robinson or Robertson around 1800 by her father. He supposedly was the son of a Capt. Robinson who lived nearby in Greenbriar Co., VA. She had wanted to marry Benjamin Harrison Jones who was a tracker for Lewis and Clark in 1803/05. Capt. Arbuckle forbade her to marry Jones and arranged for the Robinson union. Robinson/Robertson married Margaret and quickly removed her to Natchez. After several years and seven children Robinson died. She made her way to Kentucky where her parents were living at the time. Jones had become a rich man and upon hearing that Margaret was a widow sought her out, married her and they had six more children. Is anyone on this list aware of this story and do you by chance know the children from the Robinson/Robertson union? What was the Colonel's first name?
