Joel, if it doesn't match you and it doesn't match my cousin John, i think perhaps we have to consider the possibility of a nonpaternal event. One really does need triangulation in a matter of this sort, so until we have another person submitting a Y DNA sample with some kind of a trail that someone at least considers to be valid, we should think of this as still being up in the air, and even then we need another sample from that line. (R1b1a2 is, of course, very common for that area and should be expected. The I1 seen in my family is much less so. It shows up in my Robinson line and in my Brecht/Bright line from Germany. Neither of those would be expected.) b (betsy shafer, nee betsy collins) Message: 4 > Date: Thu, 22 Mar 2012 19:42:55 -0000 > From: "gc-gateway@rootsweb.com" <gc-gateway@rootsweb.com> > Subject: [ROBINSON] Chris Robinson "Hewick" ydna > To: <ROBINSON-L@rootsweb.com> > Message-ID: <1332445323.909329@rootsweb.com> > Content-Type: text/plain; > > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Author: joelrobinson5000 > Surnames: Robinson, Robertson > Classification: queries > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.robinson/10292/mb.ashx > > Message Board Post: > > For those that have been waiting for this, including me, we now have 37 > markers for a descendant of Christopher Robinson.
