Author: chrisesp1 Surnames: Robinson or Robison Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.robinson/3851.2/mb.ashx Message Board Post: My GGGG Grandfather was a Tyre Robinson or Robison. His son, Leander, was my GGG Grandfather. All I know about this Tyre Robinson was that he had 7 children, 4 daughters and 3 sons and that all of these except Leander and one daughter stayed in Ohio. The family evidently moved to Morgan County Ohio in 1842, possibly from Washington County PA where Leander was born on August 1st, 1836. If this is a Robison known to you I would love more information, especially birth and death dates. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. 3. Pat, I have found my family lived in PA, NJ, Ohio, Nebraska, and Oklahoma. I have just been finding my family in the last few years. My father was adopted around 1933 when it was bad during that time for families. I wanted to start to find my father's real family when my husband got on the internet. I have been searching since for years but didn't know how to do it. When my husband got on the internet back in 1998, I decided to start my search. I have found cousins that I didn't know I had. There are times I find nothing, then are times I find a lot. I still have not found my grandparents, Harry O. Robinson and Ann Smith. My father have a sister and brother that I am trying to find. My great-great-grandfather Thomas Robinson/Robson, and my great-great-grandmother that was born in New Jersey(I do not know her name). I found they moved to Ohio which they lived there for awhile. My great-grandfather, George W. Robinson was born 1822 in Ohio. I have found he was in the Union Civil War and have his Military/Pension Records. He married Nancy Harris. They had moved their family to Indiana, Iowa, and on to Nebraska. Nancy passed away in Nebraska and is buried somewhere in Nebraska. I found they moved to Seward County in Nebraska. My great-great-grandfather, George Robinson married Elizabeth Jane Richardson the same year that Nancy passed away. They had children of their own, which is my grandfather, Harry Robinson is one of their children. I have names of the children in both of his families. Does this Robinson family could be part of your family? I'm trying to find more of my family. I would be willing to share with what I have found. I have found family in Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Colorado. The family that I have found have shared with me information and pictures. Could you check to see if we are related? Please get back to me.
