Mainly, to see if this family is my family. My g-grandmother started this mess and passed it down to her dau who got me involved when I was a sophomore in college - abt 50 years ago. The furthest back I can get is Spots Co VA in 1733 but he was gone from Spots by 1736. Many counties around Spots Co don't have existing records which puts me at a dead-end. Helen Battleson, whom I think you know, agrees with me that my ancestor was dealing with the same folks that the Christopher Robinson family was, but that's not enough for me. ydna is the only way I will get any further back unless I have some kind of epiphany. :-) My other reason is we don't have ydna on either VA Christopher Robinson families - one in Henrico and one in Middlesex. Many of the other early VA Robinson families have ydna, but these two do not and it would be nice to solve that. I though it was interesting what you said about Viola Robinson in your book. My g-grandmothers dau, mentioned above, was a friend of Viola and I have most of their correspondence. Take Care, Joel Robinson Charlotte, NC Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
