It is difficult to say if we have a common thread just yet. My gggfather, John Wesley Robinson settled in Bradley county TN in 1841. He was born in 1809 or 1812. He raised a rather large family there and they all left in the 1870's. The kids were all married or moved away and John left to be with one of the children. I do not know where John came from prior to 1841. I have tried to find a link, but no luck. The area in which he lived had been Cherokee Indian Territory prior to 1836, and the entire region had been considered to be NC. Tennessee did not come into being until NC was divided along the Smoky Mtn range in 1796. The origin of John's family is unknown at this point. I have extensive data on many of the members after the 1830-40 time period, but none before. I hope (but I doubt) that this is helpful. Steve
