My father, who died in 1982, traced our family back to Scotland, but there is one weak link in the chain, and that is the link you mentioned. Milas Jay Robinson's parents were Thomas Robinson and Jane Downs Robinson,Thomas's first cousin. My father believed that Thomas's parents were John Robinson and Jane Downs, the aunt of Thomas's wife, but he could not find any records of children of John and Jane.
