This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: ROBINSON MORRIS BRANDON CALHOUN MILLER SMITH BOUNDS Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/3cDBAIB/8245 Message Board Post: I have three Robinson children born to a Robinson father of an unproven first name, supposedly Walter Robinson born in Georgia, possibly a doctor or druggist or medical personal of some kind. I have reasons to believe he maybe related to John Robinson Sr of Rev War fame, and also John Jr and Archibald Robinson of Georgia. They are listed on census records nearby each other in GA 1830,40. The Robinson mother is Sarah F. Robinson, possibly born in Abbeville SC or northern GA. Unknown maiden name, supposedly Calhoun. Mrs Sarah F Robinson was born 1830 in GA according to census records & family Bible info, etc. Sarah F (maiden name possibly Calhoun, middle name probably Frances) and her husband Mr Robinson (Walter?) would have been married between 1846ish and late1849 since the eldest daughter (as far as we know) was born in 1850. The Robinson children were Mary born1850, Emma Calhoun. born 1851 and Walter John Robinson born 1857 in GA -unknown exactly where in GA. The name was incorrectly spelled Robertson in 1870 Louisiana census only. I only have records for 1859 and post Morris marriage, and no records for the Robinson father officially. Oral tradition says he was Walter and was a doctor and a land & slave owner in GA and was much loved by all for his kindness & generousity. He would have died or split with Sarah after last son was born in 1857 and before Sarah married her next husband in 1859. Sarah Robinson married her second husband in 1859 in Montgomery Alabama. Dr Allen P. Morris was born in NC and lived in Ga before he & Sarah moved with the children to AL in 1858-59. They had two more children Sarah F and James Morris born in Louisiana (where the family lived 1860-1875.) Sarah Robinson Morris passed away in 1869 and the rest of the Morris/Robinsons were in Texas before 1880. I am hoping to find someone willing to do Georgia record lookups for these Robinsons to maybe find a marriage record or death record for the father or birth record for the Robinson children. Any help finding any matching Robinsons would be greatly appreciated. I have lots of clues and maybes, but nothing concrete yet. Please o please. Much thanks, Diane
