He married Martha Capron in 1808 in Easton , Washington Co. NY. Martha was born Sept. 16, 1786 in Smithfield TWP, Providence, RI. She died in 1850. He parents were Welcome Capron and her mother was Cynthia Wilkinson. Edward C. and Martha had children Barton C, Jedadiah b. 1812, Orlin b. 1808, Simeon b. 1820, Joseph b. 1822, Daniel b. 1824, Mary b. 1826, Rosalinda b. 1828, Welcome b. 1810, John b. 22 Jun 1811.
