Hi, I am searching for any links to finding family of Peter Robinson past or present. Peter did not have a son to pass on his namesake, so I am listing all info that I have in relation to Peter in hope that someone out there can help me find Peter's parents and other members of his family, even his step-children's family. Peter Robinson, according to a daughter's (Emma) death certificate was b. Richmond, VA. b. just a guess time frame around 1845 due to an 1870 census. Below is what I have. 1870 census New Hanover Co., NC Peter Robinson age 25 WM WORKS IN SAWMILL B. VA Eliza age 29 WF Keeping house b. NC Frances age 1 WF b. NC Caroline Barr age 16 WF b. NC George Barr age 10 WM going to school b. NC Catherine Barr age 7 WF b. NC Peter married Ann Eliza Keeter Barr on April 25, 1867 in New Hanover Co., NC. Ann Eliza maiden name was Keeter, she was married 1st to a George Barr in Brunswick Co., NC. They had 3 children: Catherine, George, and Caroline. all children went into her marriage to Peter Robinson Ann Eliza is the d/o Neihmiah Keeter and Delila UNK. of Brunswick CO.,NC Peter died between 1876 -1880 in New Hanover Co., NC and is buried at Prospect Cemetery there. where Emma was buried. Peter and Ann Eliza's children are Emma Francis Robinson b. 1868 New Hanover Co., Nc Lilly b.11/1876 New Hanover Co., NC --------------------------------------------- Emma Francis m/t Martin Alford Yarborough, on 7/18/1889 New Hanover Co., NC. Martin was born in Richmond Co., NC in 1863 however, he lived in Montgomery Co.,NC .This was his second marriage. Peter had a brother by the name of Daniel, it is told that Daniel lived in Roberson or Robinson Co. NC.at one time. Peter's parents are my brick wall. Can anyone relate to any of these people? Peter and Ann Eliza's other child Fanny died. b4 1880. Lilly Robinson married a Early Ellis between April 16, 1910 and Jan. 6, 1920. Early died 1/10/1940 Lillie died 8/2/1959 both in Wilmington, New Hanover Co., NC. I find them both in 1920 census living in Jefferson Ward, Richmond City Independent City Dist 122 at 2314 F Street, VA Catherine Barr married a Thomas Thayer lived in Wilmington, New Hanover Co., NC. they had a child named Esther b. 12/1884 in Wilmington, New Hanover Co.,NC George Barr,Jr married Georgina abt.1883 children to George are Blanche m/t a Redd, Bessie Barr m/t William Blake and son George Barr b. abt. 1893. On sister Caroline Barr, lead to believe that she was deceased b4 the 1900's for on the 1900's Ann Eliza states that she is widowed had 5 children but 4 living. My concern on the time frame of the birth of Peter Robinson is; even though the census states he was 25 in 1870, and Ann Eliza was 29, when one gets to the census year of 1900's it shows that Eliza was born August, 1834 listing her as age 65. If she was 29 in the 1870's she should have only been 59 in the 1900's wide spread of 6 yrs. Makes me wonder on Peter's birth year or age in the 1870's.
