I have information which another relative gave me and am trying to prove some facts he didn't give me. Starting as far back as what he could find it starts here: Christopher Robinson b.1520 Scotland, Irland, Dorchester England- Rev. John Christsopher Robinson b.1550 Sturton-La-Steaple(near Dorchester England), William Robinson b.1579 Sturton-La-Steaple(I was told William and Rev. John b.1575 were brothers)-Thomas Robinson b. 1604 England(came to u.s. 1645)-James Robinson b.1646 Dorchester, Mass.-John Robinson l b.1675 Dorchester, Mass.-John Robinson ll b.1706 Dorchester, Mass.-John Robinson lll b.1728 Dorchester, Mass.- Samuel Robinson b.1766 Dorchester, Mass.(Moved to Minden, Montgomery Co. N.Y.)Josheph Robinson b. 1792 Minden, Montgomery Co. N.Y.-Josiah N. Robinson b. 1832 Minden, Montgomery Co. N.Y.(Came to Gratiot Co.- St. Louis, Michigan about 1876)- Willis Robinson b. 1860 Jasper Stuben Co. N.Y.( came with Josiah to michigan about 1876)- Melv! in Robinson b.1887 St. Louis, Gratiot Co. Michigan- Donald Edward Robinson(my grandfather) b. 1911 St. Louis, Gratiot Co. Michigan. There are a few questions I have and trying to find a way to verify this. I am fairly new at this genealogy and thought I would learn how to trace back with this Genealogy because I was given enough information to check things out and learn how to do all this when I trace other families. I would like to someday have alot of information on all branches I am connected to so I can pass it down to future generations. Thank you for your time. Looking forward to hearing back from you. Sherry.
