I've "rescued" an old photograph of George ROBINSON which was taken at the Wrights Studio in Terre Haute, Indiana. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1880's with George likely in his 20's at the time. Based on limited research I believe that this may be a photograph of George ROBINSON who was the son of Henry & Anna ROBINSON who were living in Terre Haute, IN during the 1870 census. ROBINSON, son, age 32, born Sept 1867, born IN, a Traveling Salesman Almira HOLMES, step-dau, age 44, born Apr 1856, born IN, parents born NY George ROBINSON was also included in the 1900 census of Terre Haute, IN living not too far from his parents: George ROBINSON, age 40, born Nov 1859, married 2 years, born IN, parents born NY/Canada, a Traveling Salesman Alice ROBINSON, wife, age 36, born June 1863, married 2 years, no children, born IN, parents born OH/PA I find George again in the 1920 census still living in Terre Haute, IN with records providing the following info: George H. ROBINSON, age 51, married 12 years, born IN, parents born NY/PA, a Brewery Secretary Alice ROBINSON, wife, age 48, married 12 years, no children, born IN, parents born OH Margarite ROBERTS, niece, age 17, born IL, parents born KY/IN Then in 1920 Alice is living in Terre Haute, IN without George, records are as follows: Alice ROBINSON, age 53, a widow, born IN, parents born OH/PA I'm hoping to locate someone from his family so that this wonderful old photograph can be returned to their care.
