He married a Caroline H. Bradley on 9 June 1849 in Lancaster County. Their children were Mandrid, Milton, Josephine, Alice, Vi(r)ginia, and Lucius Talley. I am guessing that John's mother's maiden name may have been Talley since Lucius's middle name was Talley and John and Caroline are listed as neighbors in Lancaster Co.'s 1850 census to the Talleys.
