    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Robinson/Clark Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/3cDBAIB/8213.1.1 Message Board Post: My cousin recently had results analyzed by Family Tree DNA for our ancestor, Edwin Stearne Robinson of Glastonbury CT. She started with the 12 marker for $99. It wasn't enough to determine a relationship to anyone in the Robinson database so more money will have to be spent for additional markers. Here are a few places to get DNA analyzed: 1. Family Tree DNA - www.ftdna.com Located in Houston, TX and one of two of the country's largest gen. testing labs. 2. DNA Heritage - dnaheritage.com 3. EthnoancestryLtd/Ethnoancestry USA - ethnoancestry.com 4. Genebase Systems (Canada) - genebase.com 5. National Geographic Society/Genographic Project - www3.nationalgeographic.com/genographic/index.html (Family Tree DNA does this testing) 6. Oxford Ancestors (England) - oxfordancestors.com 7. Relative Genetics - relativegenetics.com (provides testing for Sorenson foundation---the other large gen. testing labs in US) 8. Sorenson Molecular Genealogical Foundation - smgf.org 9. DNA-Fingerprint (Germany) - dna-fingerprint.com Search the archives of the Wall Street Journal for the article in which I found the above information. Monday, April 24, 2006, pg. R8.
