    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Robinson Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/3cDBAIB/823.1326.3 Message Board Post: I find this talk of Edwin Robinson interesting, because my own ancestor and "brick wall" was Edwin Stearns Robinson b. 10 Sep 1812 of Glastonbury, CT. His father, according to census records was from RI. Edwin has school records that indicate his family moved back to Providence RI at some time. We just received DNA results back from FTDNA. They are posted at the Robinson DNA project: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~drakerobinson/DNAPages/RobinsonDNA.htm I have also posted them at Y Search: http://www.ysearch.org/ According to this 12 marker test, our Edwin is in haplogroup I and we see a rare value for DYS390 of 26. According to statistics at Y Base this is only seen in 1% of the people who have been tested and posted their results. I too think there is a lot of possibility of these Edwin Robinson's having some commonality, since they are from the New England areas of CT and RI. (Ours moved to MS and another Edwin moved to AL). How closely do we all match? Rebecca Smith
