It broke my heart to give up all I had worked so hard to preserve. I owned it from 1988 to 2005. Due to a divorce, the court ordered me to sell Hewick and split the proceeds with my former husband, even though I had purchased and preserved it with my own money and sweat labor. I loved restoring Hewick and poured my heart and soul into it! It will always be in my thoughts, and my two youngest daughters and I hope it is lovingly cared for in the future.
