Another Veteran Fallen. Mr. Editor: I hasten to communicate to the Church, and to the numerous friends of the Rev John H Robinson, that he has passed from the labors of earth to the reward of heaven. He died on last Saturday evening at 5 o'clock, at his residence in Oglethorpe, Ga. A suitable memorial will be furnished at early day. May heaven bless his lonely widow! George S Johnson Oglethorpe, Ga., July 17 [date of death] 2)What was called a memoir of Rev. John H Robinson in the 2 Aug 1872 issue of the Southern Christian Advocate. It is quite lengthy so have only the family info below. "Rev John H Robinson was the son of Adam and Elizabeth Robinson, was born in Fairfield District, South Carolina, November 9th, 1801. His parents moved to Jones county, Ga., with him when he was quite a child. There, at the age of seventeen he was converted at a camp-meeting; at the age of eighteen he was licensed to exhort."
