Go into your local library to the Genealogy section and ask if they have the Heritage Quest available from home. Heritage does not have 1840 or 1850 census on line. Our library has Ancestry that one can use in the library only. Many public library systems allow you access to Heritage Quest from home. There is a list of the participating libraries here: http://www.eogen.com/heritagequestonline Just scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the link that contains whatever state you are in. I can't locate any on line census record sites that are truly FREE. Does anyone know of any? I don't want to pay Ancestry.com if the info is free on the web. I'm just trolling for family. Edwin was born in Boone County Ky and traveled with his family to Canton Missouri near Hannibal. They moved back to Ky but he married and stayed in Missouri. He was the son of my gg-grandfather Francis Franklin Robinson and his first wife Emily Anne Waller. I suspect that the W may stand for Waller but could have also been for William since his grandfather was a William Waller. Edwin was a half brother to my g-grandfather Paschal Conner Robinson. Edwin was in Jeddo, Knox, Missouri in the 1880 census. Just looking for anyone that might be researching Edwin's line. -- Francis Robinson Central Indiana, USA [email protected]
