Their marriage occured in SC in or before 1831. John and Nancy had at least 3 sons born in SC: George, Allen, and David Shannon. The family was found in Barnwell County, SC in 1840. Barnwell county was part of the southern part of Orangeburgh District in 1790. Nancy had a brother Hiram Ray who lived in SC until 1850. Does this family match in any way with your data?
