At this time the government has no family contact. At the time they were lost their remains were not recovered. Family DNA is needed to identify remains if and when they are recovered. At the time they entered service they gave their Home of Record as posted below Soldier: ROBERT ROLLAND ROBINSON Born: 1920 Date of loss: Feb. 12, 1951 POW Home of Record: Scott County, Iowa Soldier: JOSEPH WILLIAM ROBINSON* Born: 1930 Date of loss: December 1, 1950 POW Home of Record: Baltimore, MD Soldier: GEORGE ALEXANDER ROBINSON Born: 1934 Date of loss: October 25, 1952 Home of Record: Stanislaus County, Califirnia Soldier: GEORGE ROBINSON Born: 1931 Date of loss: July 14, 1950 POW Home of Record: Pittsburg, PA Soldier: ALFRED GENE ROBINSON* Born: July 31, 1927 Date of loss: November 29, 1950 Home of Recoed: Los Angles, California When the Korean War ended the enemy never returned or accounted for over 8,000 of our servicemen. They died in their hands. That was over 50 years ago. Since that time DNA has been perfected and also they are recovering remains in North Korea. Our government is obligated to return those remains to the proper family. DNA samples have been obtained from most of the families of these missing soldiers. For various reasons some families have not been located. Our government has no family contact for the men listed. When the remains are recovered and identified they will be returned to the family for proper burial. I am just an old (79 years) Combat Veteran out of the Korean War and thankful that I did return. I consider this a very noble cause and I hope that you can help in some way to find these families. For more information on the project you may go to http://www.jpac.pacom.mil/. My part in the program is to match up the lost families with the proper agency. I will be grateful for any assistance in locating these families.
