Find them on the 1830 Macoupin county, IL census as John ROBERSON. Then 1840 Pulaski county, MO as John ROBINSON and 1850 Pulaski county, MO as John ROBERTSON. Census-takers in 1840 had all families with any of the three possible spellings as ROBINSON and 1850 had all as ROBERTSON. 1850 census has children as Lucetta 1833 IL, James N 1835 MO, William R. 1837 MO, Eliza Ann 1839 MO, John M. 1842 MO, and Nancy Ann 1844 MO Where did this family go after 1850?
