Author: rrobin832 Surnames: Robinson Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.robinson/9637.2.2.1.1.1.1.1.1.1.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I've been unable to further my search of my Robinson family roots. This is what I presently have: Thomas Robinson was born in Ireland about 1800 and had a son Samuel (1820-25). Samuel was born in Doones Parish of Clones, County Fermanagh Ireland. Samuel married Jane Jones in the Parish of Clones, County Monaghan Ireland on 12 Mar 1846. Jane Jones was also born 1820-25 in Tully, Parish of Clones, Ireland and the daughter of John Jones. They had four sons. Robert (7/1/1859), Thomas, Samuel, and John. Robert and Thomas went to Scotland to work in the mills while Samuel stayed behind to run the farm. They also had two unmarried daughters Bessie Ann and Mary Jane. John later migrated to Scotland and became a police officer in Glasgow. Robert left Scotland to marry (Elizabeth Finlay) his sister-in-law when his 1st wife (Letititecia Finlay) died. They arrived in Boston Massachusetts on 13 Oct 1886 aboard the Prussian from Glasgow, Scotland. There destination was Fall River, Massachusetts where they were married on 20 Nov 1886. They had sons Robert (9/10/1893), William, John and three daughters Annie (with 1st wife Letitecia Finlay, in Scotland abt.1883), Leslie May and Gertrude. It is believed that Samuel and Jane Robinson are buried in the Church of Ireland at Armhadrumsee (St. Mark's) Cemetery. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
