I am uncertain about the line, but there are so many similarities. Seeing the name James Madison Robinson is very interesting to me, as this is also my grandfathers name. I am wondering if the young James Madison could be a cousin or nephew, as the name has carried through generations. My grandfather also went to Texas during that year. We know that he took the same path. Our Robinsons eventually ended up in Ellis County, TX. I am curious if you have run into into the nickname "Bud"? I also have a "Wirt" which I believe could have been William Pratt (brother of Nancy Ann) and may have taken the Robinson name? Such a mystery - I would love to share any information we can put together. I have quite a collection of information, received from my uncle prior to his death. He spent many years researching the lineage, and never completed his endeavor. It is interesting that you say the family did not talk much about their history. My Grandfather! ended up in Oregon with the last name of Stovall. We never knew about any of our "Robinson" ancestors until my uncle started digging into the family tree, after Grandpa's death. You can email me direct if you like at [email protected] and we can further discuss our possible family relationships! Thanks so much for your time!
