For some years I have been trying to break down this Robinson brickwall of mine. I thought since it's a new year, I'd repost this. Two sisters - Margaret M. Robinson (abt 1835 - ?) born in Indiana and sister Frances A. Robinson (abt 1842 - ?) also Indiana. Both were daughters of William Robinson (1805-1865) and Catherine A. May (1812-1863). This family (along with their two sons) were in Fountain Co., IN in 1850. By 1860, father, mother and the two sons are in Marion Co., Iowa. (one of the sons is my line, so I have all his...and the brothers' info). After 1850, I cannot find one shred of evidence or info on the two sisters which is conclusive. The only unconfirmed data I have found is either totally coincidental or 100% dead on - in Webster Co., IA, there is a Margaret Robinson who married a Thomas Walton in 1888. If this was "my" Margaret, she would be close to age 53 for this marriage, which could be a second one or even a first, I guess. Then, same Webster Co., IA is a Frances A. Robinson who married a Harry Cragg in 1866. With those marriages, names and dates, you'd think I'd be able to find something. But I have not been able to find any information on these two couples, in any census records, civil war pension docs, etc. Perhaps someone out there can give me some new leads or areas to search. I realize that the two marriages could just be coincidental and that the two sisters could have very well died after 1850. David
