Author: robgo84 Surnames: robinson, pergamenter, jacoby Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.robinson/10178/mb.ashx Message Board Post: hey all robinsons, my gggrandfather Mitchel or Michael was born @1830. not sure if he was a british subject in prussia or prussian. he married Bertha (Pergamenter) and had 3 children: Rudolph (1848), Isedore, Hannah (1852) in prussia. they then went to ny (along with a family member named David) and had Theresa (1854) and then came to south carollina @1856. Mitchel/Michael died in 1858, but his last daughter Amelia was born shortly after his death in 1859 in SC. Bertha then married S.A. Jacoby. I can not go back any further than Mitchel/Michael. I can not find a record of their crossing to america. family legend is that their were 2 Robinson brothers, from England, one married a jewess and that line of the family remains jewish. Family history shows that the oldest male child was named Rudolph or Mitchel/Michael thru the generations. If any of these names sound familiar, or show up in a family bible, i would love to hear about it. also, our dna group is Q.
